All of the projects 48 turbines and a new 500MVA main power transformer are expected to be installed by early April 2020 for an expected commissioning before the month end.
The Perdekraal East Wind Farm construction is reportedly on time and on budget with 40 pct of the 48 turbines installed.
Upon completion, the facility will be the Western Cape's largest BW4 wind farm and Lekela's fourth operating wind farm in South Africa.
