Scout Clean Energy Credit Facility to Back Expansion (Ind. Report)

Boulder, Colorado-based renewable energy developer, owner and operator Scout Clean Energy is reporting receipt of a $50-million letter of credit facility. KeyBanc Capital Markets served as coordinating lead arranger, while Rabobank and Wells Fargo acted as joint lead arrangers to support expansion.

Scout will use the facility primarily to provide letters of credit to support current and upcoming security requirements related to new project interconnections and power purchase agreements (PPAs) for its renewables pipeline.

The company has over 4 GW of onshore wind, solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage projects in its 13-state pipeline and 843 MW of onshore wind farms in operation. Scout Energy Slows Horse Haven Wind Project Permitting (Ind. Report)

Further to our 19 May, 2020 coverage, Boulder, Colorado-based renewable energy developer, owner and operator Scout Clean Energy is reported to have withdrawn it's request for expedited processing of its application for site certification through Washington State Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC) for its Horse Heaven Wind Farm project in Benton, County, Washington.

The slowdown is intended to allow further community input and comments on the proposed 1150 MW facility that would combine wind energy, solar energy and battery energy storage in the same location near the "Tri-Cities" of Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland.

The project is expected to incorporate as many as 212 GE wind turbines at a total cost of $850 million and generate sufficient energy for approximately 140,000 homes when fully operational in 2022, as previously reported. Scout Completes 130MW Indiana Wind Farm (Ind. Report)

Colorado-based renewable energy developer Scout Clean Energy reports it has closed on construction and tax equity funding for its 130MW Bitter Ridge wind farm in Jay County, Indiana.

Scout Clean Energy 600-MW Horse Heaven Wind Farm (Ind. Report)

Boulder, Colorado-based renewable energy developer, owner and operator Scout Clean Energy reports it will apply for a conditional use permit from Benton County, Washington for its 600-MW Horse Heaven Wind Farm project south of Kennewick later this year.

The project is expected to incorporate as many as 212 GE wind turbines at a total cost of $850 million and generate sufficient energy for approximately 140,000 homes when fully operational in 2022.

Horse Heaven Wind Farm is subject to regulatory review under the Washington State Environmental Policy Act, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Scout Clean Energy Completes 300MW Texas Wind Project (Ind. Report)

Boulder, Colorado-based renewable energy developer, owner and operator Scout Clean Energy (Scout) reports it has completed construction and received tax equity funds for the 300MW Ranchero Wind Farm located in Crockett County, Texas (Ranchero).

Scout started of construction on Ranchero in January of this year. The completion follows the recently announced commencement of construction on Scout's 180MW Heart of Texas wind farm in McCullough County, Texas. The utility-scale project will incorporate 120, GE 2.5MW wind turbines with 127-meter rotors. Renewable Energy Systems (RES) constructed the project under a balance-of-plant contract.

Scout's Sweetland Wind Farm Issued Construction Permit (Ind Report)

In Peirre, the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) reports approval of a construction permit for Colorado-based Scout Clean Energy's proposed 200-MW Sweetland Wind Farm near Miller, in Hand County, S.D.

Scout expects to complete and commission the $240 million facility and begin operations by Dec. 31, 2020. The project will incorporate up to 71 GE 2.82 MW wind turbines spread over 20,979-acres. The company seeking a purchaser for the facility's power production.

Scout Completes MMPA Three Waters Wind Farm PPA (Ind. Report)

Boulder, Colorado-based renewable energy developer Scout Clean Energy, a Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners portfolio company, reports the inking of 200 MW PPA with Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA) for the entire renewable energy capacity of the Three Waters Wind Farm in Jackson County, Minnesota.

The project, which will incorporate up to seventy-one, 2.82 MW GE wind turbines, is expected to begin construction and startup in 2021. Three Waters is being developed and will be owned and operated by Scout Clean Energy.

Quinbrook's Persimmon Creek Wind Farm Now Online (Ind. Report)

Global investment management company Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners reports it has begun commercial operations at its 200MW Persimmon Creek wind farm in Oklahoma. The 17,000 acres facility incorporates 73 GE 2.5MW turbines.

The project is a JV between Quinbrook and Elawan Wind, US, and was constructed by Florida-based firm Wanzek Construction. The project was financed with equity investments from Quinbrook and Elawan along with tax equity investments from a consortium comprising of GE Energy Financial Services and JP Morgan. To be initially operated under a GE Full Service Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Agreement, Persimmon is reported to be the first project to be completed by the Boulder, Colorado-based wind energy developer and owner-operator Scout Clean Energy.
