Gratiot County, Mich. Wind Farm Construction Date Set (Ind. Report)

Lenexa, Kansas-based Tradewind Energy reports construction of its 75-turbine, Gratiot County Wind Farm in North Shade and New Haven townships Michigan is slated to break ground later this year. Upon completion and commissioning, Consumers Energy will purchase the wind park.

Invenergy developed and completed Gratiot County's first, and the state's largest, wind park in 2012. The wind park includes 133 turbines spread across Wheeler, Bethany, Emerson and Lafayette townships. Ameren Missouri to Acquire 300 Missouri MW Wind Project (M&A)

In the Show Me State, Ameren Missouri is reporting it will purchase a planned 300 MW wind generation facility to be located in Atchison County, Missouri, from Enel subsidiary Tradewind Energy.When fully operational, the facility is expected to generate sufficient electric power for as many as 90,000 homes. Enel Green Power NA Acquires Tradewind Energy (Ind. Report, M&A)

Italy's Enel S.p.a, through its U.S. renewable subsidiary Enel Green Power North America is reporting the purchase of Lenexa, Kansas-based renewable developer Tradewind Energy, Inc. 13 GW of wind, solar, and storage projects located throughout the U.S.

75-MW Duke Energy Florida Solar Farm Now Online (Ind. Report)

In the Sunshine State, Duke Energy Florida reports its 74.9-MW Hamilton Solar Power Plant is now in operation and providing electric power to approximately 20,000 area 20,000 homes. The project was originally developed by Kansas-based Tradewind Energy and was completed by Duke Energy.

Duke Energy Florida plans to acquire or install 700 MW of solar energy in the state through 2022. The utility presently has about 300,000 solar panels in operation totaling 100 MW across its territory. Tradewind Announces $89Mn S. Carolina Solar Project (Ind. Report)

Kansas-based renewable energy developer Tradewind Energy reports it will construct a 75-MW, $89 million solar farm on approximately 1,000 acres south of the town of Bowman, Orangeburg County, South Carolina.

The county granted fee-in-lieu of taxes incentives for the project and agreed to place the project in a joint industrial park with Dorchester County. The joint county industrial park is a mechanism designed to provide an industry with additional incentives. There is no physical park.

Construction on the site is expected to get underway by April of this year. To date, Tradewind has completed more than 3,000 MW of wind and solar power projects.
