In other OX2 news, OX2 reports it is about to commence the environmental impact assessment procedure for two large-scale offshore wind power projects of up to 160 turbines in Finland's Gulf of Bothnia Exclusive Economic Zones. The deal, which includes a multi-year service contract, takes full advantage of the Cypress Platform's two-piece blade design provided by LM Wind Power, a GE Renewable Energy business. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a 30-year Active Output Management (AOM 5000) service agreement and a VestasOnline® Business SCADA solution to lower turbine downtime and optimize the energy output.
The projects, which will be completed on a "merchant basis" without any direct financial support, have a total capacity of 60 MW of V150-4.2 MW wind turbines delivered in Power Optimized Mode. Turbine delivery is slated to begin in Q2, 2021 for an expected commissioning in Q3.
