Three Rivers Energy Rebooting Ethanol Production (Ind. Report)

Chicago-based agribusiness, biofuels and wind energy investor Lakeview Energy IIC reports it will reboot operations at its shuttered Three Rivers Energy biorefinery in Coshocton, Ohio, later this summer.

The facility, which launched in 2008, produced ethanol, distillers grains to feed livestock and corn oil.

ABB, Energon Boosting Bangladesh Solar Plant Efficiency (Int'l)

ABB Group reports it has contracted with independent power producer ORION to implement automation and control solutions at the 100 MW Moidhara solar power plant in Mongla, Bangladesh.

ABB will collaborate with ORION subsidiary Energon Renewables which will use efficient "mono Perc" high efficiency solar cells to capture solar rays and convert to power which would be then supplied at 132 kV AC voltage to the main grid in Mongla, 13km aray.

ABB will implement a fully integrated automation and electrical system to monitor and maximize the plant's efficiency and reliability. ABB will also supply the complete electrical solution comprising of transformers, RMUs and 33/132 kV substation along with the SCADA system communicating to the Bangladesh grid via IEC 60870-5-104 communication protocol. Pattern Energy Acquires Clines Corners Wind Development (M&A)

Pattern Energy Group LP reports the completion of its acquisition of the 1,000 MW Clines Corners wind power development opportunity in Torrance and Guadalupe Counties, New Mexico, from Orion Wind Power Resources, LLC.

Orion Wind Power Resources is a joint venture between Oakland, California-based Orion Renewable Energy Group LLC and MAP® Energy.

With this acquisition, Pattern Energy now has more than 4,000 MW of New Mexico wind in development, representing more than $8 billion of planned investments. Bakersfield Renewable Fuels Finds Investors (Ind. Report)

Orion Energy Partners L.P., GCM Grosvenor and Voya Investment Management have entered a capital partnership with Bakersfield Renewable Fuels (BKRF), a special purpose vehicle wholly owned by Global Clean Energy Holdings Inc. (GCE). BKRF was created to purchase an existing refinery in Bakersfield, Calif.

BKRF will retool a portion of the refinery into a renewable diesel (RD) bio-refinery. The project will use GCE's camelina oil as well as traditional biofuel feedstocks such as waste fats, oils and greases to produce RD, liquid propane, naphtha and others. Distributor Expects Savings with Orion LED Upgrade (Ind. Report)

Manitowoc, Wisconsin-based LED lighting specialist Orion Energy Systems reports it and BC Energy Solutions have been selected to upgrade a major privately owned national food distribution company facility with Orion's IoT enabled LED lighting solutions. The Enlighted™ upgrade will reduce maintenance and substantially improve energy efficiency as measured in lumens per watt of electricity. Enlighted™ IoT enabled wireless sensors and controls allow the customer to automate and analyze critical facility management data, driving further savings through more carefully monitored energy consumption.

The upgrade, which includes 1,354 Orion LED lighting fixtures and 1,249 LED Bulbs for an expected $597,711 per year savings, also qualifies for a $300,000 rebate from Salt River Project.

BC Energy is a national energy management and reduction firm helping companies drastically reduce their energy consumption. Orion Energy Announces Additional $35Mn LED Energy Efficient Lighting Installation Contract (Ind. Report)

Manitowoc, Wisconsin-based LED lighting specialist Orion Energy Systems reports it has expanded the retrofit of an un-named national account customer's lighting systems with LED lighting and wireless IoT enabled control solutions at additional locations nationwide.

The contract builds upon an earlier Letter of Intent (LoI) for Orion to provide approximately $11 million in turnkey LED lighting retrofit services, most of which were completed prior to March 31, 2019. A significant portion of the installations, including IoT enabled control systems, are expected to be completed before June 30, 2019. Orion Claims Fed. Energy Efficient LED Lighting Projects (Ind. Report)

Manitowoc, Wisconsin-based LED lighting specialist Orion Energy Systems reports receipt of $3.6 million contract to install LED lighting systems in two unidentified US government facilities. The project is expected to start in fiscal year 2019.

Once the lighting retrofits are completed, the federal customers expect to cut their annual energy usage for lighting by approximately 50 pct per facility.

For the projects, Orion is replacing legacy T5, T8, compact fluorescent and HID lighting systems with energy-efficient LED lighting platforms and controls.
