MG&E, Madison School District Partner on Solar Project (Ind. Report)

In the Badger State, Madison Gas and Electric (MG&E) reports filing an application with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) for approval of an agreement to partner with the City of Madison and the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) on an 8MW solar array in Madison. The City will take 5 MW of the output and MMSD will take 3 MW of the output under Renewable Energy Rider (RER) agreements with MGE.

If approved, the 28,000 panel array which will be developed by Juno Beach, Florida-based NextEra Energy Resources Development, LLC, is expected to come in at approximately $15.3 million and start generating power by the end of 2021. Wisc. Two Creeks Solar Park Now Online (Ind. Report)

In Green Bay, Wisconsin Public Service Corp. (WPS) is reporting the state's first large-scale solar facility -- the Two Creeks Solar Park in Manitowoc County -- is now online.

The 150-MW, 500,000-panel solar facility is jointly owned by WEC Energy Group and Madison Gas and Electric.

WPS parent company-WEC Energy Group has committed to make its electric generation fleet net carbon neutral by 2050 and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 70 pct below 2005 levels by 2030. In the Badger State, Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) reports it is teaming up with Madison Gas and Electric (MG$E) to operate two proposed solar energy facilities in the towns of Two Creeks and Two Rivers, just south of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant in Manitowoc County.
