Greenbelt, NARE Announce Bioproducts Collaboration (Ind. Report)

Paso Robles, California-based Greenbelt Resources Corporation is reporting a technology collaboration with King Ferry, New York-based New Age Renewable Energy, LLC. (NARE), an innovator in dairy waste processing projects, combining the NARE fermentation formulation with Greenbelt's ECOsystem technology to provide a cost-effective solution to convert dairy processing wastes such as "cheese whey" into ethanol and other valuable bioproducts.

In their collaboration, each ECOsystem solution would likely have a capacity between 400,000 and one million gpy of ethanol production per year. Greenbelt Claims Duckweed Ethanol Feedstock Success (Ind. Report)

Following up on our March 30, 2018 coverage, Paso Robles, California-based Greenbelt Resources Corporation , the developer and producer of a sustainable ECOsystem model that transforms food, beverage and ag industry waste into revenue generating bioproducts, reports it used its Commercial Scale Feedstock Testing Facility (CSTF) to conduct duckweed feedstock feasibility testing for a third party customer funded by the Andrew J. Young Foundation.

Common duckweed is a very small light green free-floating, seed bearing plant. Duckweed has 1 to 3 leaves, or fronds, of 1/16 to 1/8 inch in length. A single root (or root-hair) protrudes from each frond. Duckweeds tend to grow in dense colonies in quiet, undisturbed water.

In other Greenbelt news, the company also recently announced receipt of funding funding pursuant to an agreement with Purnol, LLC to produce bioethanol for use in the predominantly hemp based cannabis CBD extraction process. Greenbelt Resources to Assist in Chinese Bioethanol Effort (Int'l)

Paso Robles, California-based waste-to-bioethanol specialist Greenbelt Resources Corporation, is reporting CEO Darren Eng will visit China this month to assist in enhancing the domestic production capacity up to the over 4 billion gallons of ethanol required to meet a Chinese Government mandate.

In 2017, Greenbelt commissioned a commercial system in New South Wales, Australia that converts wheat processing waste into ethanol, and it received Ecolabel certification from the Indonesian Ministry of the Environment. Greenbelt, Young Foundation Ink DuckWeed DAYS Agreement (Ind. Report)

In the Golden State, Paso Robles-based Greenbelt Resources Corp. reports it has inked a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with Georgia-based Duckweed DAYS LLC. -- a new entity aiming to commercialize and further the research carried out by the not-for-profit Andrew J. Young Foundation (AYF). The Foundation aims to encourage farmers, both in the U.S. and around the world, to grow duckweed as a cash crop and sell it into the biobased products industry.

The Duckweed Project features Greenbelt's ECOsystem model, which will convert the duckweed into bioethanol and a protein concentrate targeted as a nutritional supplement.

Greenbelt's ECOsystem technology represents about $5.0 million of the total $14.0 project budget.

Greenbelt, Biofuels & Energy Tout SLV Biopro Project (Ind. Report)

Paso Robles, California-headquartered Greenbelt Resources Corporation, an innovator of sustainable energy production systems, in collaboration with Biofuels & Energy, LLC (B&E), is touting the San Luis Valley Bioproducts Project (SLV Biopro). The project will feature Greenbelt's waste-to-energy interconnected system (ECOsystem) designed to produce up to 500,000 gpy of bioethanol from potato processing waste and other suitable feedstocks available in the San Luis Valley area of Colorado.

SLV Biopro aims to be the first independently owned, local-scale bioethanol solution in Colorado. The resulting bioethanol will be sold for both fuel and industrial uses, including by Colorado's cannabis processing industry as a "green" extraction solvent.

In the Golden State, Paso Robles-based Greenbelt Resources Corporation reports it has inked a Letter of Intent (LOI) with New Mexico-based Biofuels and Energy, LLC (B&E). B&E plans to utilize Greenbelt's proprietary ECOsystem model, which uses a patented membrane dehydration technology to convert agricultural waste into various biobased products such as bioethanol and high protein animal feed.

The first series of B&E projects will be located in Colorado, New Mexico and Pennsylvania. Greenbelt Resources' small-scale, end-to-end modular systems convert food, beverage and other cellulosic wastes into commercially viable advanced biofuels (bio-ethanol), animal feed, fertilizer and filtered water. Greenbelt's BioEthanol Test Facility Conversion to Commercial-Scale Near Completion (Ind. Report)

Paso Robles, California-based Greenbelt Resources Corp reports the first phase of its California BioEthanol Project that will convert its Commercial Scale Testing Facility into a commercial-scale production biorefinery is well underway and expected tb be completed in Q2, this year.

The biorefinery will produce approximately 1.37 million ppy of protein concentrate and 75,000 gpy of bioethanol. The total estimated investment for the California BioEthanol Project is $3.25 million. Additional capacity will be added in the project's secomd and third phases.

Greenbelt Testing Wine Waste as Biofuel Feedstocks (Ind. Report)

In the Golden State, Paso Robles-based Greenbelt Resources Corporation reports it will work with Santa Maria, California-headquartered Central Coast Wine Services (CCWS) to test various wine making wastes for potential use as feedstock for Greenbelt's "Paso Robles ECOsystem" (PRECO) waste-to-energy project. The project will convert local wastes into bioethanol and other products.

Other waste derived-feedstocks tested or being tested include pomegranate husks, mandarin oranges, pistachio hulls, bagels, brewery wastes, sweet potatoes, sugar beets, and a variety of waste sugar and/or alcohol containing beverages.
