Foresight, Belltown Power Partnering on UK Wind Projects (Int'l Report)

In the UK, London-headquartered investment manager Foresight Group LLP and Bristol-based Belltown Power are reporting a joint venture aimed at developing over 300MW of wind energy projects mainly in Scotland and Wales.

Infrastructure and private equity investment manager Foresight has £4 billion of energy infrastructure assets under management and renewables assets totaling 2.2GW. Belltown, which has a total pipeline of 2-3GW in various stages of development, including 335MW under construction currently entering construction, has delivered over 200MW of wind, solar PV and hydro projects to date, according to the company. Foresight Acquires UK Anaerobic Digestion Plants (Int'l., M&A)

London-headquartered investment manager Foresight Group LLP is reporting acquisition of two large-scale anaerobic digestion (AD) plants with a combined approximate power output of 95,000 MWh per year -- sufficient power for 30,000 homes in the UK. Both plants are operational and are expected to run for a further 17-18 years.

The acquisition forms part of the sale of Strutt & Parker (Farms) in East Anglia.

The transaction is a continuation of the partnership between Foresight and Material Change, and its parent company Heathpatch. As part of the deal, Material Change -- which provides services to 7 AD sites -- has entered into long-term feedstock supply, digestate offtake and management and maintenance services contracts, while Heathpatch is an equity investor in the projects. Foresight previously invested in 35 greenfield and operational AD plants across the UK and Europe. Foresight Snares Simple Power Wind Portfolio (Int'l, M&A)

London-headquartered investment manager Foresight Group LLP is reporting the acquisition of Belfast, Ireland-based Simple Power Ltd which, with 52 sub-250-kW single wind turbines, boasts the largest distributed wind portfolio in Northern Ireland. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The Simple Power portfolio qualifies for participation in the recently launched Integrated Single Electricity Market (I-SEM) in Ireland. Each machine has a standardized lease, grid connection and PPA as well as long-term fixed price operation and maintenance (O&M) agreements, according to the release. Foresight Acquires German Anaerobic Digestion Portfolio (M&A, Int'l)

London-based infrastructure and private equity investment manager Foresight Group is reporting the acquisition of five operational anaerobic digestion (AD) plants totaling 17 MWe equivalent of electricity and biomethane from Germany's Lindhorst Gruppe.

Including this acquisition, Foresight's renewable energy portfolio will include 20 AD plants in Germany and the UK totaling 154 MW cpacity.
