Vestas Claims 95MW Brazilian Wind Turbines Order (Int'l. Report)

Danish wend industry giant Vestas reports receipt of a 95 MW order from Soborg, Denmark-based large-scale wind and solar energy developer European Energy A/S, in partnership with Eolica Tecnologia, for the Ouro Branco and Quatro Ventos wind projects in the state of Pernambuco in Brazil.

The order comprises 21 V150-4.2 MW turbines delivered in 4.5 MW Power Optimized Mode with 120 metre towers as well as a ten-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract. Turbine delivery is slated for mid-2022 for commissioning by the end of the same year. European Energy Offloads 17MW Danish Solar Farm (M&A, Int'l.)

Soborg, Denmark-based large-scale wind and solar energy developer European Energy A/S is reporting London-headquartered alternative asset management firm Conquest Group has signed an agreement to acquire its recently operational 27MW Naessundvej solar project in the Jutland region of northwest Denmark.

The Naessundvej project has a long term power purchase agreement (PPA) in place with Google.

Conquest, which invests in long-term sustainable value stemming from European infrastructure and energy transition real assets, previously invested in the French market in 2017 and 2018 and in the Benelux region in 2019. Conquest's investment portfolio produced over 224GWh of renewable energy, representing the annual consumption of over 75,000 homes, and avoiding over 3130 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions in 2019. European Energy to Build 300MW Nordic Solar Farm (Int'l. Report)

Soborg, Denmark-based large-scale wind and solar energy developer European Energy A/S reports it will construct a 300 MW solar power farm in the southern Denmark the municipality of Aabenraa. The $159 million project is expected to break ground early in 2021 for operation before the year end when it will generate sufficient energy for roughly 75,000 households, according to the release.

European Energy has installed 1.5 gigawatts of wind and solar capacity in 11 countries, according to its website.

Installed solar capacity in Denmark stands at about 5 GW, up from 3 GW a year ago, and could reach 16 GW in 2025, according to Danish transmission grid operator Energinet.dk. In the UK, Aquila European Renewables Income Fund plc reports completion of its €13.2 million ($14.2 million) purchase of the 9.6-MW Svindbaek II onshore wind farm, a three-turbine portion of the larger Svindbaek complex in Denmark. European Energy, RWE Ink Green Energy Offtake Deal (Int'l. Report)

Soborg, Denmark-based large-scale wind and solar energy developer European Energy A/S reports it and RWE Renewables have inked a 7 year of ftake agreement under which, beginning 1 Jan., 2024, it will deliver three TWh of green energy to RWE in Denmark.

Three TWh of green power over seven years is sufficient energy for 115,000 homes and equivalent to the full annual production of 35 modern wind turbines or the annual output of a 400 MW solar plant for the period, according to RWE. European Energy Unloading 39-MW Italian Wind Farm (Int'l Report)

Copenhagen-based wind and solar developer European Energy A/S is reporting it will sell a 39-MW wind farm project in the Basilicata region of Italy to an unidentified local investor for an undisclosed price. Closing is expected in Q1, 2019.

The project, which is reportedly the largest such plant currently under construction in the country, is slated for completion and commissioning in September, 2018. The wind farm will incorporate 13 units of Siemens' SWT-3.0-113 MW turbines.
