Large-scale solar plants owned by APS across the state will be upgraded with 200MW of battery storage systems. A team from Invenergy, an Illinois-based energy company will install six new battery systems at solar plants in Maricopa County and Yuma by 2020, with the balance to be complete by 2021.
The utility is also planning to construct 500MW of solar storage and standalone battery storage by 2025 as
