Upon completion, the facility is expected to be Australia's largest solar power station. Details on construction contracts, solar supply contract, and Power Purchase Agreements are expected to be announced within days.
The project is being developed and structured by Edify Energy, which will retain an equity stake in the solar project. Construction is expected to get underway in March, 2019, and when fully operational sometime in early 2020, will displace over 600,000 tpy of CO2 and generate 685,000 MWh of electric power per year -- sufficient to power around 115,000 homes.(Source: Edify Energy, Various Media, 18 Jan., 2019) (Contact: Edify Energy, John Cole, CEO, +61 2 8790 4000, +61 2 8790 4000, firstname.lastname@example.org,
