Eco Wave Inks MoU for Brazilian Wave Energy Project (Int'l.)

Tel Aviva-headquartered Swedish-Israeli marine energy developer Eco Wave Power (EWP) is reporting a MoA with Brazil's Pecem Complex, for a planned installation of 9-MW wave energy converter (WEC) array on the breakwater at the port of Pecem, in northeastern Brazil.

Under the MoU the wave energy converters would be adapted for tropical water conditions to maximise the net capacity factor. The parties are to also collect real-life data and experience regarding onshore WECs investment, construction and operation, as well as gather information on permitting in compliance with relevant laws and standards for wave energy projects such as this one. Portuguese Wave Energy Collaboration Announced (Int'l. Report)

In Stockholm, publicly traded on-shore wave energy developer EWPG Holding AB (Eco Wave Power) is reporting a strategic collaboration with Portuguese infrastructure engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance and management firm Painhas SA for technical support for the licensing of a planned 20MW wave energy project in Portugal .

The wave energy project part of Eco Wave's Concession Agreement with the Port Authority of Leixoes (APDL).

Eco Wave Power's patented, smart and cost-efficient technology turns ocean and sea waves into green electricity and enables commercial power production from sea and ocean waves, according to the company website.
