CarVal Investors Acquires California, Vermont Solar Assets (M&A)

CleanCapital is reporting the formation last month of a $250 million partnership with CarVal Investors and the acquisition of more than 14 MW of solar generating capacity in Vermont and California for an undisclosed amount from Madrid-based developer X-Elio.

The Minneapolis-headquartered CleanCapital-Carval partnership plans to acquire $1 billion in solar assets and has to date invested nearly $100 million in projects in 10 states, representing 21.6 MW of electricity.

ACC, SUMEC Co-developing Chinese Solar Projects (Int'l)

Rooftop solar-focused developer Asia Clean Capital Ltd (ACC) has teamed up with a unit of China National Machinery Industry Corp (SINOMACH) to co-develop a 100-MW solar pipeline in Mainland China.

As part of the newly-signed cooperation agreement, ACC will provide construction and financing for the solar systems, while SUMEC New Energy & Development Co Ltd will deliver technical support, engineering design and other services.

ACC noted that this cooperation will speed up the development of its rooftop solar business in mainland China.
