CLEAResult Consulting Confirms Upcoming Buyout (M&A Report)

In the Lone Star State, Austin-based commercial energy efficiency and conservation services provider CLEAResult Consulting Inc. reports it is being acquired by being acquired by TPG Growth and The Rise Fund, an investment fund managed by TPG Capital, for an undisclosed amount. The deal is expected to close later this year pending regulatory and other closing conditions.

TPG is taking over ownership from General Atlantic, a Connecticut-based private equity firm that purchased a majority stake in CLEAResult in 2013. s in 70 cities in the U.S. and Canada. CLEAResult Supports PG&E Energy Management Initiative (Ind. Report)

CLEAResult Acquiring Ecova's Utility Division (M&A)

Austin, Texas-headquartered CLEAResult, the largest energy efficiency programs and services for utilities provider in North America, reports it has agreed to acquire the Utility Division of Ecova (aka ENGIE Insight). The acquisition will expand CLEAResult's ability to help its utility clients enhance customer experience and deliver greater energy efficiency savings to their residential, commercial and industrial customers. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2018

The acquisition will broaden CLEAResult's retail-based and midstream demand side management programs and network of relationships across home improvement retailers, global lighting, smart thermostat and other efficient product manufacturers. CLEAResult plans to leverage the combined offerings to continue to transform retail-based and midstream demand side management programs through key innovations such as digital instant rebates and digital marketplace applied to leading-edge smart-thermostat, low income and renewables programs. ComEd, CLEAResult Tout LED Light Incentives Success (Ind. Report)

Austin,Texas-headquartered CLEAResult, a leader in designing and implementing technology-enabled energy efficiency programs for utilities, reports it has provided incentives for nearly 100 million energy-efficient lightbulbs, through a partnership with Illinois' largest electric utility, ComEd, as part of the utility's residential lighting discount offering.

The offering provides instant in-store discounts at participating retail stores on select ENERGY STAR certified LEDs and trim kits. The 2008 vintage program has to date achieved energy savings of more than 3.3 billion kWh which is enough energy to power more than 265,000 homes for one year.

OK County Considers OG&E Energy Efficiency Program (Ind. Report)

In the Sooner State, the Carter County commission reports it is considering participation in Oklahoma Gas and Electric's (OG&E) Schools and Government Energy Efficiency Program for energy efficiency upgrades performed by CLEAResult to county buildings.

Under the OG&E Schools and Government Efficiency Program, the utility provides incentive funding for energy efficiency upgrades and retrofits based on the measures that the organization chooses. These incentives can cover up to 90 pct of the cost of purchasing and installing equipment. CLEAResult, NV Energy Collaborate on Low-Income Solar Project (Ind. Report)

Austin, Texas-based CLEAResult Consulting Inc. and Nevada's largest utility, NV Energy are reporting completion of Nevada's Lower Income Solar Energy Pilot Program enabling low-income customers to benefit from solar.

The Program, which was passed by the state legislature in 2013, allocated 2 MW of private solar projects to be installed for the benefit of low-income customers. In 2016, NV Energy and CLEAResult joined forces to implement and manage the second phase of the pilot project aimed at delivering 1 MW of solar energy to non-profit organizations serving lower-income communities. Fifteen solar PV systems were installed on buildings for organizations serving children, veterans and families in need during the second phase.

Superdome Rewarded for Energy-Efficiency Upgrades (Ind. Report)

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome stadium in New Orleans has been awarded a $50,000 cash incentive for energy efficient lighting upgrades through the Energy Smart Large Commercial & Industrial Solutions program. The upgrades are expected to save the Superdome nearly $450,000 per year and just under 4.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year.

In addition to lighting upgrades, the Large Commercial & Industrial Solutions program also provides incentives for: high-efficiency unitary air conditioning and heat pumps (split systems and rooftop package units); electric chillers; energy efficient motors; window films; and other measures to cut energy consumption and increase efficiency.

The incentives are based on $0.10 per kWh for qualifying lighting upgrades and $0.12 per kWh saved for all other upgrades. Total incentives per facility per program year cannot exceed $50,000 or the cost of the upgrade, whichever is less. Funding is limited, and incentives are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Energy Smart program was developed by the New Orleans City Council and is administered by Entergy New Orleans. The program provides energy-efficiency solutions to residential and commercial customers, as well as to government organizations.
