BrainBox AI Names ATS Automation Systems Integrator (Ind. Report)

Montreal-based BrainBox AI, a provider of autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) technology for commercial real estate, is reporting the appointment of ATS Automation as a BrainBox AI Master Systems Integrator for the Pacific Northwest region of the United States and Alaska.

BrainBox AI technology leverages AI to improve building operational efficiency while reducing energy consumption and costs. Combining machine learning, cloud-based computing and self-directed decision-making, BrainBox AI enables a building HVAC system to operate autonomously and in real-time, generating up to a 25 pct reduction in total energy costs, 20-40 pct reduction in carbon footprint and 60 pct increase in occupant comfort.

BrainBox AI Pilot Reports 25-29 pct Energy Savings (Ind. Report)

Montreal-headquartered autonomous building technology specialist BrainBox AI reports it has partnered with GWL Realty Advisors to pilot its artificial intelligence (AI) technology in a GWL managed office tower and multi residential property in downtown Toronto.

BrainBox AI uses deep learning, cloud-based computing, algorithms, and a proprietary process to support a 24/7 self-operating HVAC system that requires minimal human intervention and enables maximum energy efficiency.

In the pilot project, the office tower saw a preliminary reduction in energy consumption of 29 pct on HVAC, with an expected reduction of its carbon emissions by 218 metric tpy. Accounting for 45 pct of buildings' energy consumption, HVAC systems are one of commercial real estat's leading contributors to energy usage and GHG emissions. The multi-residential building saw a preliminary reduction in energy consumption on HVAC of 25 pct avoiding 180 metric tpy of carbon emissions.

Montreal-based autonomous building technology specialist BrainBox AI reports raising $12 million to further deploy its ground-breaking AI technology for buildings across North America and abroad.

BrainBox AI technology combines deep learning, cloud-based computing and autonomous decision making to support a 24/7 self-operating building. BrainBox AI's solution enables a building's HVAC system to operate autonomously, in real-time, to generate up to a 25 pct reduction in total energy costs and a 20-40 pct reduction in carbon footprint.

In the 11 months since its launch to market in May 2019, BrainBox AI has installed its self-learning technology in over 15 million square feet of commercial properties, across 15 cities on 3 continents. The company has gained significant traction in its home market of Canada, and the recent raise will enable rapid expansion in both existing and new markets.
