Boralex Takes Control of 3 Quebec Wind Farms (Ind. Report, M&A)

Montreal-headquartered Boralex Inc. is reporting an agreement to acquire the full 49 pct equity stake held by the Province of Quebec Pension Fund -- Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec (CDPQ) -- in 3 wind farms totaling 296 MW in Quebec, already 51 pct owned by Boralex.

The 3 wind farms, located in the Avignon RCM in Gaspesie and the Appalaches RCM in eastern Quebec, are equipped with Enercon turbines and have long-term PPAs with Hydro-Quebec Distribution, expiring between 2032 and 2033 with a weighted average remaining contract duration of nearly 12.5 years.

As part of the acquisition, Boralex will pay $121.5 million cash to CDPQ on closing, which may be supplemented by a conditional consideration of up to $4 million subject to the settlement of certain future conditions that need to be met. The closing is expected to take place at the end of November 2020, subject to standard closing conditions. With this transaction, Boralex's installed capacity will be 2,212 MW. Boralex Commissions Blanches Fosses French Wind Farm (Int'l)

Montreal-based Boralex Inc. is announcing the commercial commissioning of the 11 MW Blanches Fosses wind farm in the department of Aisne, France.

The project will incorporate 5 units of Vestas' 2.2MW V110 wind turbines to generate sufficient power for approximately 5,500 homes.

Boralex Claims French Wind, Solar Tender Wins (Ind. Report)

Quebec, Canada-based renewable energy developer Boralex Inc. is reporting two of its solar projects -- the 15.4-MW Peyrolles en Provence in Bouches-duRhone department and the 12.5-MW La Cle des Champs in Haute-Loire -- have been selected in France' s latest tender call for ground-mounted solar plants.

The company's 25.2-MW Mont de Bezard II and 17.3-MW Extension Seuil de Bapaume wind projects in Marne and Pas-de-Calais were also selected for onshore wind schemes.

Boralex presently has more than 1,000 MW of French wind and solar projects at various stages of development, and 978 MW of operational wind, solar and thermal power capacity in France. Limekiln, Scotland Wind Farm Extension Plan Announced (Ind Report)

UK-based green energy firm Infinergy and Montral, Canada-headquartered Boralex are reporting plans to extend their JV 21-turbine wind farm project which is underway at Limekiln, south of Reay in Caithness, Scotland. The 7-turbine extension will increase the Limekiln facility's installed capacity by about 20 MW.

The Limekiln Wind Farm Extension is expected to be submitted for Scottish Government regulatory approval in the spring of 2020 and, if approved, should be fully operational before the end of 2022. Boralex, Infinergy Limekiln Wind Farm Gets the Nod (Int'l)

UK-based green energy firm Infinergy and Montreal, Canada headquartered Boralex reports the Scottish Government's approval of their proposed 90-MW, 21-turbine joint-venture wind farm at Limekiln, south of Reay in Caithness.

Construction is expected to get underway in 2021 for completion and commissioning before the end of 2022. The wind farm will provide sufficient electricity to meet the needs of at least 39,500 homes based on the average generation mix of UK power sources and has grid connection contracts in place.

Infinergy, which is active in the UK, The Netherlands and Australia with a strong focus on the development of onshore wind energy in Scotland, develops wind and solar energy projects from inception through to construction and operation. Boralex Commissions 23 MW French Wind Farm (Ind. Report, Int'l)

Quebec-based renewable energy developer Boralex Inc. is reporting the commissioning of the 23 MW, Sources de l'Ancre wind farm in the Somme region of France. The project, which has a 15-year PPA Electricite de France, incorporates seven Vestas V112 3.3MW turbines.

Boralex Completes Kallista Energy Cash Acquisition (M&A Report)

Montreal-based renewable energy developer Boralex Inc. reports it has completed its €129 million ($149.5 million) cash acquisition of the Paris headquartered wind power firm Kallista Energy Investment SAS from Ardian Infrastructure.

Kallista Energy's portfolio includes 163 MW of wind farms in operation, 10 MW under construction, a 158-MW project in the pipeline.
