Adani Green Acquires 50 MW SkyPower Solar Project (M&A, Int'l.)

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India-headquartered renewable energy developer Adani Green Energy Ltd. is reporting a share purchase agreement for a 100 pct stake in a special purpose vehicle (SPV) holding 50 MW operating solar project from Toronto-based SkyPower Global. The 2017-vintage project located in Telangana , India, has a long-term PPA with the Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana.

The acquisition, which is subject to the customary approvals and conditions, helps AGEL raise its operating renewable capacity to 3,395 MW with a total renewable portfolio of 14,865 MW including under-construction and awarded projects.

Adani Green Energy Ltd., which develops, builds, owns, operates and maintains utility-scale grid-connected solar and wind farm projects, reports it raised $1.35 billion from 12 top global banks in funding for its under-construction renewable asset portfolio that Adani aims to grow to 25 GW by 2025. Adani Green Energy receives LOA for 600 MW wind-solar hybrid

Gujarat, India-based Adani Green Energy Limited reports its wholly owned subsidiary Adani Renewable Energy Holding Eight Ltd, has received a 25-year LOA for a 600 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid project from New Delhi-headquartered Solar Energy Corporation of India. The project is expected to be commissioned within 18 months of the signing PPA.

With this project, Adani Green's total renewable energy project capacity stands at 14,795 MW -- 2,950 MW operational and 11,845 MW under implementation, according to the company. Siemens Gamesa Claims 473-MW Indian Turbine Order (Int'l. Report)

Report) In the Keystone State, the Philadelphia Energy Authority (PEA) is reporting the launch of its second annual “Solarize Philly” program that provides free remote solar assessments and a new Solar Savings Grant Program to households of all income levels. Adani Plans Major PV Solar Production Expansion (Int'l. Report)

Gujarat, India-based Adani Green Energy Ltd, part of the diversified Adani Group, reports it expects to invest $6 billion to ad 2 GW of solar cell and module manufacturing capacity. The move follows Adani Green Energy's previously reported winning bid to manufacture 8 GW of photovoltaic solar power projects over the next five years.

The first 2 GW of solar generation capacity will be commissioned by 2022. The project will be in various locations, including a 2 GW single-site generation project, the company said. Adani Green Energy Claims Major Solar Award (Int'l. Report)

Ahmedabad, India-headquartered Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL) has won the first of its kind manufacturing linked solar agreement from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

As a part of the award, AGEL will develop 8 GW of solar projects at various locations as well as establish 2 GW of additional solar cell and module manufacturing capacity no later then 2022. The award will entail a single investment of $6 billion and displace 900 million tonnes of CO2 over its lifetime.

With this win, AGEL will now have 15 GW capacity in operation, under construction or under contract.
